Дизайнерското студио Whitaker Studio е решило да даде нов живот на стари корабни контейнери като ги обедини в красива архитектура. Проектът започва през 2018, а идеята е всеки контейнер да е ориентиран за максимална гледка и естествена светлина.
Къщата Joshua Tree Residence е собственост на филмов продуцент и разположена в пустинята в Калифорния. Върху пясък и скали. Екзоскелетната структура се вържи на бетонени колони. Отвътре всеки един дом, който е 200 кв. м, има кухня, дневна, трапезария и три спални. Мебелите се дело на дизайнера и архитект Рон Арад. Отвън и отвътре е използвано бяло, за да рефлектира на навлизащата светлина и горещото пустинно слънце. А енергията се осигурява от соларни панели, разположени върху гаража.
